The pupils of the 6th grade write about their countries

My name is John and I am eleven years old. It is a Greek name because my parents come from Greece. I live in Athens. Greece is a peninsula. The country is mostly mountainous with lots of green plains and hills. The weather is warm in winter and hot in summer time. People are outgoing. I think it is the best country in the world!

My frind Sany is from Sri Lanka. It is an island close to India. Its capital is Colombo. The country has got much green, trees and flowers. The weather is mild, cold in winter and hot and wet in the summer. The Sri Lanka people are very friendly and nice. They believe in myths and if you go there they will tell you a lot of stories. I think that going to Sri Lanka is thrilling because you can learn a lot about their culture and their myths!
